D. Jean Clandinin is Professor and Founding Director of the Centre for Research for Teacher Education and Development at the University of Alberta. A former teacher, counsellor, and psychologist, she is author or co-author of 16 books. Four books and many chapters and articles were published with Michael Connelly. Dr. Clandinin's research has had a profound impact upon the related areas of teacher knowledge, teacher education and narrative inquiry.

She is past Vice President of Division B (Curriculum Studies) of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) and is the 1993 winner of AERA's Early Career Award. She is the 1999 winner of the Canadian Education Association Whitworth Award for educational research. She was awarded AERA's Division B Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002. She is a 2001 winner of the Kaplan Research Achievement Award, a 2004 Killam Scholar, and the 2008 Larry Beauchamp Award from the University of Alberta. She is the 2009 winner of the Killam Mentoring Award and the 2010 winner of the Graduate Teaching Award at the University of Alberta. She won the 2015 AERA Division K Legacy Award and the 2015 International Study Association of Teachers and Teaching STAR award. Currently she is working on five major projects.

Jukka Husu, Ph.D., is a Professor of Teaching and Teacher Education at the University of Turku, Finland, where he works in close contact with the Centre for Learning Research (CLR). Previously, he was an acting Professor of Teacher Education at the University of Helsinki, and worked as a primary teacher, teacher educator and researcher for several years. Since 1995, he has been an active ISATT visitor and a contributor for the association.

His research focuses on teachers’ pedagogical knowledge, reflection and ethical judgement in teaching. Throughout his work, he emphasizes the need for incorporating these areas of knowledge and skills into teacher education programs. Dr. Husu has published extensively in internationally refereed journals and books. He is a member of the Editorial Board of Teaching and Teacher Education. Currently, Dr. Husu is co-editing the forthcoming Handbook of Research on Teacher Education (Sage, 2017) together with D. Jean Clandinin.

Lily Orland-Barak is Associate Professor in the areas of mentoring and professional learning, teacher education and curriculum development. She served as Dean of the Faculty of Education at the University of Haifa, Israel and is at present Dean of Graduate Studies of the University of Haifa. She has published three authored books and four edited books, numerous articles and book chapters in her field of research. Her book ‘Learning to Mentor-as-Praxis: Foundations for a Curriculum in Teacher Education’ (2010) published by Springer, offers a new conceptualization of the praxical and discursive character of mentoring. She is a member of Editorial Boards of leading journals such as Teaching and Teacher Education and Teachers and Teaching: Theory and Practice.

Is an associate professor with qualification at the University of Minho, Portugal. She received her Ph.D. at the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. She was a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge, UK, in 2008/2009. Her research interests include teacher professionalism and identity, teacher education and professional development, teacher appraisal, and change as well as higher education. She has published extensively on these topics both nationally and internationally. She is currently the Chair of the International Study Association on Teachers and Teaching (ISATT) and is the Past-Chair of the Board of Directors of the International Council on Education for Teaching (ICET). She is executive editor of the journal Teachers and Teaching Theory and Practice.
