TOUR 1: GUIDED TOUR AROUND THE CITY.
Enjoy a guided tour to visit the city and get a better insight into Salamanca’s history, culture and traditions. You will experience a hundreds–year old city entirely built of sandstone architecture and whimsical ornamentation. Its main sights (plaza mayor, cathedrals, palaces and churches) and the legends and stories of the city will transport you to the middle ages. Take the Salamanca tour and uncover both the history and vibe of this charming Spanish city.

TOUR 2: OLD LIBRARY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF SALAMANCA.
The Old Library of the University of Salamanca safe-keeps and restores the bibliographic heritage of the University together with those holdings acquired or deposited in it by virtue of its functions, both historical and current. The Library’s collections comprise books, old manuscripts, incunabulum, parchments, pamphlets and journals dating back from the 11th century to the 19th century.
We will be able to visit the Historical Hall (16th-17th century) of the Library, a spectacular space with the room of manuscripts and incunabula. In there, the librarian will show some different antique books and other type of academic documents, while he will explain us interesting aspects about the origin of the Library, how the scribes worked to write these books, and how the Spanish inquisition censored some of them.

The Medieval Towers of the Cathedral of Salamanca constitute one of the most important emblems of the city. From afar they practically define the city skyline. A close look at the 110 metres-high building will be surprised by a balanced mixture of gothic and renascence structural and ornamental stiles. The route inside the towers let the visitor to become familiar with the history of their construction and to experience over 900 years of art and history by means of the Ieronimus exhibition. This route inside the Medieval Towers of the Cathedral, among battlements, pinnacles, and gargoyles, allows contemplation of the Old Cathedral and its marvelous altarpiece. Its balconies and watchtowers constitute a privileged vantage point over the city.

We will visit the place in a night-visit and will enjoy a tranquil time under the stars in a summer night in Salamanca.
“Sierra de Francia” is a mountain range located at the southern end of the province of Salamanca (70kms away from Salamanca city). In its picturesque landscape, a collection of villages declared of National Artistic Interest can be found showing their traditional architecture and habits. The main interest villages are “La Alberca” and “Mogarraz”, two distinctive villages with cobbled streets of Jewish and Moorish layout. The houses are built of stone and wood dating back to the 16th century. We will also taste traditional typical food from the area at dinner time. Arrival to Salamanca will be late at night (around 12am).
